I can't seem to get ahold of anyone at Boundless technologies--who seem to
have inheirited the ADDS line.
Most of our sites are in other parts of the country. The terminals we have
on-site where I work use PS/2 style keyboards, although it is my
understanding that some of them use RJ-11 style

Anita,
You need to either type the following at TCL or incorporate it into
your LOGIN paragraph:
PTERM CASE NOINVERT
This will force the caps lock (and cut paste) from reversing the
capitalization.

Gabe,
We are running UV 10.2 on Win 2000 and had a customer on Win 2003. We do
not use OFF to disconnect, we make the user hit the X in the upper right
corner (using SB Client). We then run a script that will bypass the Close,

We did not receive any errors, but

Hi Mike,
If I am understanding your email correctly, this is a VERY DANGEROUS thing
to do.
Using OFF (or any of the other logout commands either directly or from
within the application) will close the session neatly.
Simply clicking on the X at the top right of the window terminates the

Mike,
Are you willing to share that 'bypass' script? It would cut down
the annoyance factor at one of my clients.

Martin,
We execute the off as part of the script along with an exit session so we
bypass the display. So it isn't that we don't do it, bad wording on my
part, we just do it a little differently.
Thanks for bringing this up though.

No problem, here is the script we have in the client. It is executed by the

I have a client on Universe 9.6. I am trying to have a subroutine return
the last hold entry number so that I can put a wrapper around it. I thought
that I had used this before, but cannot find the way to do it. Does anyone
have any help on this?

Not for nothing but what would this tidbit of information be used for.
I have not been concerned about memory for the last 20 years.Overall memory
for processes etc butnot for a basic program.
