I've read a number of posts about AirOS v6 on XM hardware not being very
good, but I'm not clear on if that's on 2.4GHz, 5GHz, or both.
Could anybody with experience attempting AirOS v6 on 2.4GHz with XM
hardware clarify?

I have seen this as well. In some cases, clients are as much as 15dBm
lower signal (with modulation rates to match).
The issue has shown up in every test of v6 that I've done, and it's the
entire reason we are still running 5.6.15.
