Same issue with Toshiba A30-141
Tested on Dapper and Edgy beta 2 both don't detect the Alps touchpad. It looks
like it is kernel bug becouse /proc/bus/input/device doesn't show the touchpad.
I compiled vanilla kernel and touchpad works, it works on other debian kernel

released since 0.80, which is in dapper - look at http://www.kinodv.org

If people needs functionality, provided by ffmpeg, then maybe it should be in
Recommends field of kino package - then aptitude and synaptic will install
