I have ubuntu dapper running on AMD athlon 64 2800, kernel is

Quite often my gdm crash when I press the x button in upper right corner of a
window. The desktop freeze but other tools (ie music player)

This version of Ubuntu has been around since breezy, upgrading with apt-
get dist-upgrade, the thing is all of this worked and I was a member of
the admin group before the GNOME 2.16 upgrade, it even worked with GNOME
2.15.92

I encountered the same issue. First the message 'The resize operation is
impossible' appears. Then, when I select manual partitioning, nothing
happens but the busy mouse cursor.
It does it on 2 different computers.

Trying to suspend or hibernate on my x60 (after an upgrade to edgy from

I confirm this bug with an nvidia Geforce FX 5200 running the latest
proprietary video drivers in Dapper. I've found the easiest way to fix
it is hit CTRL ALT Arrow key to spin the cube.
The problem is that Xgl doesn't repaint the desktop or anything after the
screensaver deactivates so

This was previously working in edgy.
In fact, it seems intermittent. Some bootups have sound and some
don't.
This may be something on my end, but I haven't figured out what yet.

On a well loved but relatively clean dapper system, dist-upgrade cannot
resolve dependencies to do an upgrade.
Output (after s/dapper/edgy/ in /etc/apt/sources.list, aptitude update)

My notebook hangs when using 2.6.17-7, sometimes after short time,
sometimes after long time.
I tried switching from fglrx to ati driver, but after a couple of hours,
the system freezed again. :(
