Installing 'totem-xine' should resolve your issue. You can do this
through the Synaptic Package Manager (System - Administration menu), or
by typing 'aptitude install totem-xine' in a console.
I'd similar situation as bierholen. After I upgrade from 6.10 to 7.04, all IDE
devices are recognized as serial device, e.g. harddisk becomes sdaX,
dvd-writer becomes scd0. When I try to burn CD with the build-in program, it
can finish writing image file, and burn for a little while (less

Found the problem. With 2.6.20-15.27, the harddisk was /dev/sda, but
with 2.6.20-16.28 the harddisk became /dev/hda.

I've added bug #389068. It is not really the same bug, but it is

I got around by doing the %q = %b replacement and adding execute-
permission to file /lib/firehol/firehol (no other bash needed):
sed 's/%q/%b/g' /lib/firehol/firehol TMPFILE mv TMPFILE

Right now, updating my x86_64 Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon system does not work
