I am using Eric3.9.1 installed with Ubuntu-Feisty and have the
following problems:
(*) Edge mode does not place the end of line delimiter in the right place
(*) Indentation lines not shown correctly

Without compiz, kmail still blocks, but the window manager doesn't say
'not responding'. kmail is the only app I use that uses gpg-agent, but
with other apps, when they block (because they're busy or something),
compiz only asks when you try to close them.

Gutsy Alpha 20070612 today's daily build tried persistent several times.
Once it actually loaded the ubuntu system folders into the USB device,
however it didn't save a text file on home, and I couldn't get
persistent to do anything since, or on another computer either.

I'm confused. Balaji, are you saying that we should be using the nVidia
driver for our Trident XP4/32m chipsets? I would suspect that if you indeed
tried that then xorg, upon initialization, would notice a problem, and fall

is required to get i965 support. I don't have access to an i965 system
so have not been able to do any testing on it.

It seems extremely likely to me that this is a bug with vte, rather than
vim, so I'm reassigning.
vim is expecting the same sequences it has always expected from xterm and
xterm-emulating ttys.

I have figured out the fix to this issue.
Apparently, the default xorg.conf has a line which interferes with changes in
acceleration.
Changing the line:
Option "SendCoreEvents" "true"
to
Option "CorePointer"
cures the issue.

This happened to me on a system running Ubuntu 6.10 (edgy) -- haven't
tried it yet under 7.04. I am creating the tar file on an external
ieee1394 ("firewire") drive with the manufacturer's FAT32 formatting.
Under Edgy, Archive Manager put up a dialog saying an error occurred
while writing the arch
