I am working on cleaning up some bugs on Launchpad. I am wondering if
you are still having problems with Speedcrunch not starting. Could you
please update this bug with the current status of things including
version of Kubuntu and if you are still having problems with
Speedcrunch.

1) upgrade kernel and all latest updates, and reboot. Here is the output

I understand and realize that, but this bug is about a month and a half

by starting usplash manually inside one tty and provide debug logs for
usplash? All you need to do is to :
1. Switch to one of your ttys once the computer successfully booted.
2. Type this : sudo usplash -c -v >/tmp/usplash.lo
I wonder if this issue has anything to do with my crash every time boot
up. It's a crash in atieventsd.

Everytime I try to restart up transmission it locks up my whole computer, even
host OS. The program first started up beautifully & connected to peers pretty
quickly. I stopped my torrent at 5% first time, restarted the VM for Ubuntu

running KDM as the defualt desktop manager when I am in GNOME the User
Switcher Applet will not start. Then when I go to Logout -> Switch

I'm running Ubuntu Hardy Heron and recently installed SuperKaramba along with
underlying base requirements of KDE4 core packages (via Synaptic). I didn't get
any error when I logged into KDE4. However when I logged out and logged back in
to GNOME I saw this application c

I tried it with Ephipany & also with Firefox 2. On the initial pass through

Good, looks like upstream is active on the bug. I doublechecked that
the quirk jesse provided hasn't been committed to their git tree, so I'm
guessing that they intend to look into it deeper and figure out a real
fix. If he comes up with a fix that they commit to git, make sure to

I wonder if this has anything to do with bug 181121? Symptoms are

For me, on Ubuntu 64 on amd64, opening this page takes ~300 mb of memory
then running firefox with other pages ; But opening it more times (i.e.
in tabs of same window) do not increase the memory usage

Looks like might be a problem with authentication. I have a packet
capture and I see a DNS query for a authentication server. Which all
looks good. I then see a Kerberos error error
KRB5KRB_ERR_RESPONSE_TOO_BIG. Of course I don't see a bunch of these so
I'm not sure if that was just blip or what. B

I can confirm that adding Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps" "true" resolves
the black image problem.
I still have unease about setting this as a default for everyone,
though. Typically when setting these sorts of options on for everyone,
