libata's acpi in /etc/modprobe.d/options doesn't seem to be enough. If

I found the solution to this on my system.
I had installed a non-ubuntu distribution of python (stackless python).
This became the default python installation used by the system, but was
located in /usr/local/bin/python not /usr/bin/python, so the path to all
the other modules was wrong.

I removed fast-switch-user-applet. The option still appears when
clicking System-Quit from an LTSP/LDM terminal - For my users I'd
rather remove the option entirely; it is not used and having the button
there makes them think hey what's this let me click it

After switching from gentoo i386 to ubuntu hardy 8.04 x64, using the
same configuration (of course adapted to the new host system), any PHP
script that wants to issue a startTLS behaves unpredicatebly. Best
example is phpLDAPadmin which at
some work out of the box, cool :) (at least in gnome..)
the zoom key on the left of the keyboard does not work and also the one
to stack the windows and scroll through them does not work.. I would be
glad if Canonical (or any developer) could talk to Logitech about that.

Strangely, I think this may actually be related to Parallels. I just
realized that this seems to happen shortly after opening Parallels. It
is pretty unstable on Hardy, and I think whatever corruption it is
causing is manifesting this way. I would forget this bug. I do not think
it is really
