libgraphviz4 depends on libgd2-noxpm or libgd2-xpm.
The reason why dpkg makes a small complaint is that libgd2-noxpm is
removed before libgd2-xpm is installed. This isn't a problem since a)
libgd2-xpm is later installed and b) apt-get continues to without
interruption.

I wanted to add to this comment. This problem only happens when you
upgrade Calc from 2.4 but if you do a fresh install with the same repo
the highlight color is the nice blue that is very noticeable. I use this
repo to get openoffice:

Finally I replaced my Hitachi/LG GSA-T50N with a Samsung SN-S083B drive.
The bezel is compatible so it sums up to removing two screws and paying
EUR 28,00.
After the drive installation I upgraded its firmware to the newest
version (SB01) that can be downloaded from http://www.samsungodd.com/.
Still experience this blunder in Jaunty simply by using keyboard

According to the Intel BIOS manual there seems to be a setting in BIOS
that let's you to choose your SATA mode (Advanced Drive Configuration
Menu Configure SATA as) which is by default set to IDE. Do you have
tried AHCI instead?

If you do, please run this: (I use -c since -u has broken the cryptsetup
In version 0.9.94 the horizontal scrollbar should work.
(The editor still doesn't support word wrap though.)

I would like to add information that may shed light on this.
I too started getting this warning in the log after the upgrade from hardy to
intrepid
could it have something to do with changing the time on the system?
For example, if I run hwclock --systohc + adjtimexconfig, I see the
warning
The same still happens for me, there is a workaround described at
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=511070 which triggers a restart
of acpid whenever X starts...

I had this strange behaviour too.
On a MB (GA/nforce560) I used a Seagate 7200.11 (SATA) and a fresh install of
Ubuntu 8.10.
I noticed a HDD activity every 4-5 sec, which was very annoying.
Because of the Firmware bug of the Harddisc I decided to replace the HDD with
