I've tested it once again today with different CDs. It seems, that I can
play or rip a CD even if it is inserted after login. But it only works
with the first CD. After changing the CD, the noise appears again. The
noise also appears, if I do not really change the CD but only throw it

I removed /etc/ldap/slapd.d, and `dpkg --configure slapd` crashed not
finding /var/run/slapd. I created that directory, and `dpkg --configure
slapd` completed.
One issue here is the assumption that I *want* to use the directory
structure instead of a slapd.conf file - but I'm supporting a client
I just reinstalled xfce4-mcs-plugins and the display configuration
works. It's definitely xfconf bug.

I've gotten so used to the problem, I've not attempted to communicate
again. For a long time after I installed Ubuntu 8.10, I was very
careful and did not once OK a google cookie. It is happening again,
though. What seems to trigger it is that I OK acceptance of a Google
cookie just once. Ther
I can second this bug. I have upgraded from dapper to hardy and now to
intrepid. Same issue. I will try to install and go through te upgrade
path to see if I can confirm again on clean repos.

So I think that the patch is wrong now, and we actually don't want to
modify notify-sharp.
What we need to be doing now is doing the same check we do in notify-
sharp, but outside of notify-sharp in the actual application (e.g.,
banshee).
The reason for this is that some applications may have not
