Here are the error results. Have used gwibber sucessfully with facebook
before on 8.10 from gwibbers own repo. Upgraded to ubuntu 9.10 and
replaced with the gwibber from the ubuntu repo and it broke.

Just updated to Jaunty with the 2.6.28 kernel and it still exhibits this
problem. I will try to do the 'dpkg-reconfigure -a' to see if that
helps.
It's a puzzle to me how this bug has remained through a full release of
Ubuntu and a new kernel version.

Ok, I've managed to get it working, but I still consider this a bug, so
you can choose to do what you want with it. Let me explain, so maybe my

As I previously explained, when I would choose "E16-GNOME" from the
session menu and log in, I would only get Gnome (and no

I upgraded from Intrepid 8.10 AMD64 to Jaunty 9.04 AMD64. Flash had been
working flawlessly in 8.10 64 bit version. I was receiving the dreaded
grey box where a flash animation should be in Firefox.
In my case flashplugin-nonfree was not installed (after the upgrade).

I'm also seeing this on Jaunty (2.6.28-11-generic) on a Dell M1530. It's
inconsistent. It seems like it will suddenly start working for a while, and
then turn off again. Trying to change the setting has no effect.

Confirming bug. I didn't upgrade, but rather re-installed through the
alternate cd. I have two separate partitions being mounted, one for /
and one for /home directories, so it could be an issue with a config
file from previous versions that Jaunty doesn't like.

My system is a freshly installed 9.04. When trying to open a folder via
Places, Home Folder, for example, the window list will say "opening
my_username" but will not actually open the folder. The only workaround
to actually see my files to go go
Reading this thread shows this bug is six months old. Why has it
reappeared in Firefox 3.0.9 on intrepid? I've been faced with a new
version of Firefox every time I log on to the PC. Time to audition a new
browser I think.

I have now tested with Ubuntu 9.04 live cd
Can't boot in normal graphics mode. Crashes don't see any x server errors
though.
Boot messages are talking about inability to scale the cpu and something with
lapic witch I don't know what it is.
When booting in secure graphics mode it works I got a

I installed jaunty the other day on compaq CQ 144 with sound device
Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev ). Now
there is no sound whatever. I tried editing alsa-base.conf in directory
/etc/modprobe.d/, but that didn't help.
