I've confirmed that this problem exists in Ibex, not that I really had

Generic get_brightness function should read 'actual_brightness' not 'brightness'
I did a make-kpkg with the wrong options and ended up with
2.6.28.10-custom.1.0. The good news is that the camera WORKS just fine in
Cheese! I didn't even need the libc update. I'll do some testing to see if
it will record sound with the video. Are you relieved?

Agreed hggdh, therefore if at all possible, it may be beneficial to
upgrade to Karmic when it is released, as this is quite a jump in
versions in coreutils, I would assume that this is probably fixed -

The Logout button opens a logout window with many buttons : session logout,
change user, lock screen, shutdown, restart, sllep and hibernate.
When I resume after a sleep or hibernate, that window is still open.
It would be cleaner to have it automatically closed.

A friend of mine (an average Ubuntu Jaunty user) recently bought a new
internal SATA hard disk. After installing and formatting it with ext3
filesystem, he complains about Ubuntu mounts it with read-only
permissions, so he can't write anything on it.

This device needs a userland utility to switch to its full native mode.
When switched to native mode, all buttons and axes are useable.
The kernel also needs to be patched as when the wheel is switched to
native mode, it changes its USB product ID.
I wrote a little userland utility (G25manage)
I have the same problem with an application running with Java, but that
does not have a full screen mode.

Actually this is a result of Bug #348793 which moved python-
gnome2-extras to suggests. Perhaps Gajim should be build without
--disable-trayicon so as to still provide a tray icon without relying on
a ton of gnome dependencies?
