Got it stable using workaround in bug 201225. But it should be possible
to compile madwifi drivers. Ther is a bug in the driver tough.

Hmm, perhaps an SRU candidate, if done in conjunction with some other
more pressing SRU issue. I don't think it's SRU material alone, though.
I'm going to leave it unapproved (neither approved nor declined for

installed ext4 filesystem and experienced soft lockup and had to
hardboot 3 or 4 times a day, I read the bug report and fix was to
