(facebook, specifically Mafia Wars which requires flash on some level or

Pulseaudio isn't in that chain, you're right. You're using the bluetooth
ALSA plugin directly.
Regarding the range there are classes of bluetooth adapters each being
able to reach different ranges.
Is it possible for you to try Karmic with gnome-bluetooth (instead of
bluez-gnome) and pulseaudio?
debian/changelog just shows a bunch of new upstream
release/transition/rebuild uploads anyway. We just haven't synced in a
while and Debian rewrote the packaging in the meanwhile.

So, I don't know if that's a problem.
But, yes the fan run et full speed all the time and I'll have to suspend the
gnome power management (because it cause the computer to suspend and then to
crash).

To fix this I would need someone to test the kernels I posted. As the
primary fixes to the scheduler we pulled in via a second stable update I
will regenerate these test kernels. Ok updated kernels are available at

You shouldn't assign to yourself and then complain that nobody else
steps up to fix it. Same thing for "in progress"
scim has nothing to do with translation. Are you sure you have the
right package? Is there an upstream bug or where did you discuss this
fix?

somewhat the same. (same build-deps, different order. Different package
descriptions, etc) I see no Ubuntu differences that are really relevant
any more. The cmake-find-plasma patch is no longer needed.

Also native linux applications seem to have problems: I tried compiling
and running vdrift, and X froze as soon as a track finished loading.
Soundplayback did continue for a while though, which seems to indicate
that only X froze and not the whole system... Again, I did not find any
