[Karmic] dim display when idle only dims but doesn't restore the previous

using sudo. They all run a program or script which receives some
arguments at run time. That includes rsync over ssh. Could you please

has never appeared on the left-hand menu, when the CD is inserted;

I had this bug on Jaunty too, with the same graphics chipset as
nicklondon28. It still happens on Karmic (same hardware, clean
install). I can run GE by using xorg.conf.failsafe, which loads the
vesa driver instead of the default intel. It's slower, of course,
but otherwise perfect.
