There is a much easier way to fix this.
Just remove (or move) your slap.d directory and run the reinstall again.
The /etc/init.d/slapd script exits with a 0 if that folder is missing.

virNodeDeviceDefFree(def) to udevAddOneDevice() would solve the issue,

For me, many C programs compiled on lucid amd64 with binutils-gold,
(starting with a pre-release and continuing thru updates) gave SIGSEGV
on one of the str functions. There is no problem on a fresh install of
lucid (amd64) with the normal binutils. From 'ld --version' on the two
installs:

For me it worked after fully finishing upgrade to lucid (9.10 - 10.04).
I had to manually run again aptitude dist-upgrade and aptitude -f
install and so on. Then after reset or two, all works on all 3
computers.

In my hp laptop there is a small button that enables/disables touchpad. It was
working well until I upgraded to lucid. Now if I press that button i cannot
write anymore in any window.

Yes, the current version of ftplugin/sql.vim imaps Left, Right, and
uses C-c as a sort of mapleader for insert mode. There are variables
you can set to customize the maps. You'll probably want to read the
documentation in :h sql-completion.

Confirmed; after updating to the version in lucid-proposed it no longer
shows a kdesudo popup on start. I don't have any hardware in need of
proprietary drivers so can't test that thoroughly if it works as
expected, but it at least starts fine.

AFAIK this makes no functional change,
I'm now on 10.04 with all updates and still no sound from HDMI. I also
get silence from regular analog output while I see Rythmbox playing some
Internet radio or Boxee playing any movie, Shoutcast radio etc.
HDMI audio works on Windows.
I don't have any IEC958 channel on alsamixer. I'm attaching
