I tried to attach some info using apport-collect from a completed
Maverick installation that I performed on 11-21 but it appears that may
not have completed successfully. Regardless I wanted to get some basic
info down here before I have to wipe this install performing Natty iso-

I use the same remote control, i.e. "VLSystem_MPlay_Blast", for XBMC on
Ubuntu 10.10. It stopped working about half a year ago (I was on 10.04

Here's something interesting:
If I download Ubuntu's source package, configure with no arguments,
build and install, this bug does not appear. However, when I build the
package using the Debian build system, it DOES appear.
What's going on here?

After long time of investigation, which clients really have that look-
ups and which not i concluded that in my case the problem was caused by
the simple fact, that those clients where solely NATed (most of them
VMs, Ubuntu 9.

then during boot the system switches to 1280x1024, sometimes showing plymouth.
plymouth screen off center and small
during x/gnome-session all ok including switching to and from vt's.
