I think this is a bug (still present) in avidemux itself, not in ubuntu
per se.
Regardless, a work around is to re-encode your video file (ffmpeg,
mencoder) so that its new format has consistent framerate. I think that
works, anyway.

I have upgraded to 11.04, but that had no effect on the wireless - it's still
not visible in networkmanager.
There is the following info from the 11.04 system:

On my Inspiron 1545, hibernate / resume work much better in Natty--
better than Maverick, and probably also better than Lucid. Resume from

If you read again, you will see that the goal is that input methods
start only if the user-selected language in gdm requires them.

I've been trying to compile octave 3.4.0 and g++ keeps on segfaulting in
the middle of the compilation process.

This problem has been plaguing me since the official release of 11.04
I'm starting to get fed up with it!!
I have tried:
Update install of 11.04
Clean install of 11.04
CCSM: disable sync to vblank
Updating fglxr to manufacturer update
Compiz fusion: set metacity as window manager
Purging fglxr en
Perhaps this could be improved, but it is likely due to the fact that
the control panel rounds the numbers to something human readable:
2000MB/4.3MB = 0.002 MB = 0.02 GB, so rounding to whole integers,
0GB is correct, though not very informative.
This comes to 0.2% so again correctly rounded

I've constantly had problems with cover art with Banshee.
The thing I've noticed, and more so in v2.0, is that if your album name
is null or Unknown Album, you can't add cover art to it. I've had to
change a lot of my non album songs to Unknown Album1 to see art.
