Thanks for letting me know the behavior of Update Manager, BUT I have to
strongly disagree. The command:
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
was successful (installed even those packages, which were grayed out and
de-installed chromium-browser-inspector), therfore the behavior of
Update Manager is IMO
osmo 0.2.10+svn922-2 builds on amd64. Sync request ACK'd.

The desktop icons auto arrange along the left side of the screen. The
solution of browsing in nautilus to the desktop folder and changing to
manual arrangement isn't taking effect.

unable to open link with custom url-handlers
To manage notifications
I've worked around this by increasing my framebuffer size in the BIOS to
256MB (doesn't fix the problem, but basically allows me to open more
windows than I could previously before the problem kicks in)
I can live with this until nVidia fixes this issue as I normally don't
have enough windows
I think this is fixed. I update my system weekly and the problem did not
occure about a month ago.
