I see. I'd rather have the logout option when pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL,
because when pushing the power button on my laptop, the shutdown dialog
appears. Historically, CTRL+ALT+DEL killed the X-window session,

It happens a lot when grabbing a (semi) maximized window with the Alt key and
dragging it. Depending on where you grab the window or how fast you go, the

A similar problem occurs if the screen is to big: text feels cramped and is

I think it should really scale so that every new user can see it. Maybe every
200px steps are enough, it doesn't have to be freescaling.
Looking over the patches, the infrastructural changes are quite limited. So the
biggest hunk of change is the new driver. At least that helps in the argument
in the sense that only Xen hosts/guests are affected. Still there are some
things I think should be checked.
The new driver gets loaded
As far as I'm concerned this is correctly fixed in Precise as long as
modemmanager didn't crash during the session (in which cases there may
be a race between upstart respawning it, and NM spawning it via DBus
activation). Closing as Fix Released.

Here's some news on this issue:
After trying around with many different settings in alsa-base.conf
(options snd-hda-intel model=3stack-dig position_fix=3) - which had no
effect at all - I upgraded manually to alsa-driver-1.0.25 which had no
effect either. Problem persisted.
So I took a look on

second using the intel card. The nvidia card still runs at about 70 fps
using nvidia (less than half the speed it got in ubuntu 11.10).
