I have this with a 9800 GT and driver 302.17 from x-updates. The last
thing I have on the Xorg log is this:

later on, but not changing the default behavior.

Why is this a low priority? I ask because the same underlying behaviour (that
of not being able to use the keyboard) that I reported as Bug #1022583 is a
problem for those with disabilities that make mouse/trackpad use impractical.
Do you really consider alienating disabled users a low priority?
The early 12.04 releases (alfa, beta, I don't remember) had the correct
text (all windows, all workspaces). A bug on this issue was reported
and the fix was correcting the documentation and the shortcuts overlay.
This was not a proper fix. This is a design regression bug, it's not a
design change.

My laptop speakers do not function as they should when i installed

Here there's a similar bug with the software updater
No module named UpdateManager.UpdateManager
Which seems to be related to python2 invoking the program instead of
python3. May it be the same issue here?

Using the current behavior leads to windows flying all over the place,
invisible windows, windows stuck outside of the viewport, etc. I can't
see how anyone can use this in its' current state.
