According to OS X, the number of sectors is 312579695 in both diskutil (GPT)
and fdisk (protective MBR),
So, although the actual GPT contains the larger size, OS X diskutil respects
the HPA and lists the smaller size.

xscreensaver. It kept the resolution, but xscreensaver didn't turn off
the monitor (or make it sleep) it just blacked it out.

configured to lie about its size and claim it is slightly smaller than
it really is. The MBR contains the smaller size, but the GPT contains

In case it still matters to someone, I got this same error on an
external USB 2 GB drive with the stock 12.04 kernel (3.2.0-27):
kernel BUG at /build/buildd/linux-3.2.0/fs/btrfs/extent-tree.c:2287!
I installed kernel 3.4.7 as suggested above and it did, indeed, fix the
issue. The drive mounted

this might be related to the same problems reported in Bug #1006898. Are
there multiple instances of dnsmasq running? I know you're not
configured for VLANing, but I'm interested to know if the proposed fix
