actually, there were 6 packages: three dummy-packages (that always depend on
the latest corresponding real package) and the three real packages, that
contain the new linux-kernel. So 6 packages had to be updated/installed, and

solve the distored printing. Also Libreoffice 3.6.0.2 (latest available

I have been working with this problem as well, although I ended up with
a slightly different workaround. I blacklisted ath9k, ath9k_common, and
ath9k_hw, and disabled wireless networking.
I tried Ubuntu 12.04 on this computer, and it was working nicely for a
while, until I did a dist-upgrade a

I am using Ubuntu 12.04 and had this same problem. I fiexd it by using
Chrome to open the pdf document and print 2 pages in the same sheet.

The problem with debconf needs a little explanation. As show, the
command that caused the failure was:
/usr/bin/perl -w /usr/share/debconf/frontend /var/lib/dpkg/info/man-
db.postinst triggered /usr/share/man
The 'frontend' perl script determines which type of debconf frontend to
display. In
