python2.7-dbg crashed with SIGSEGV in PyDict_GetItemString()

ubuntu-bugs mailing
Just discovered that this crash goes away if python-gobject-dbg is
installed... in other words, there is no problem as long as
python2.7-dbg is able to find the debug version of the module. However,
if only the standard version of the library exists, then python2.7-dbg
seems to fall over.

It turns out that the python2.7-dbg crash goes away as long as the

now build in natty if we add Build-Depends: python-gobject-dbg. I

Hi Joshua,
I will start work on a stable release update (SRU) today, hopefully. It
takes a while for SRUs to be processed, because any mistakes can affect
a vast number of people, so please keep an eye on this report for
updates!

Bumping this up to Confirmed as there appears to be consensus that the
label text is incorrect. It also seems a bit strange that this button

I'd be quite keen to try out packaging the ANOVA library. I've already
had a quick play with it, and it looks quite straightforward. I'll have
a more thorough look over the weekend, and then look at putting in an
ITP.

Neither of these dependencies seem to be packaged for Ubuntu,
unfortunately. Looks like we'll be playing catch-up for a while! I
guess we should at least be able to upgrade to 0.9.8.3 once qtexengine
is made available.
