We pushed a commit to the utouch-grail development branch that fixes a
memory corruption bug. Can you do the following to test:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:utouch-team/daily

The geis xcb backend token structure is overrun by device ids and this
causes memory corruption. There are two problems here:

found the memory corruption bug that is crashing eog and evince on my
machine, but it looks like it requires having three or more multitouch
devices connected at once. As such, I'm lowering the severity.

machine. I had installed a newer version of xserver-xorg-input-wacom,

I think the first step would be to get a good backtrace from an X crash.
Please install xserver-xorg-core-dbg. Immediately after the next X
crash, please upload /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old as an attachment to this
bug. Then we can narrow down what is causing the crash.
