Just upgraded kernel to 5.4.182-generic and system no longer
sleeps/hibernates. It goes to screen as if hibernating and then just
stops. No keyboard input will resume it for some time but eventually it

[Impact]
Add a driver for the Cirrus Logic CS35L56 amplifier. This is not a standalone
HDA device; it provides control of the CS35L56 for systems that use a
combination of an HDA codec and CS35L56 amplifiers with audio routed through
the HDA

In summary; my install worked; except
- the third party packages however were not installed,
- the `/var/log/installer` directory did NOT exist thus some metadata was
missing from

This bug is LOW PRIORITY in my view...
- not many people will use the INSTALL USING EXISTING PARTITION

- the error occurs which stops the installer, but most of what is required was
already done, so system has booted for me each time I've encountered this error

Possibly obvious, but this appears on installed systems too, as I booted
up a recent install on dell optiplex 780 to get details for Aaron
yesterday & the 23.10 plymouth was there at boot/shutdown.
(d780 another box that uses text plymouth instead of graphic)

As requested by Aaron (matrix) I ran a command on dc7700 & reported
results... also booted & ran it on d780 (which I'm using now) and
results are rather slow.
