report. I am getting the same log entries as Richard except the fsuid
for my server log is 107. This is the second time on version 16.04.1
and first time on 16.04.2 that this has happened. The only permanent
fix I have found

@baltic (bugsgenerator) You're right, but the powers that be have for
years refused to see the distinction between changing the way filenames
are handled (which they have, I think, adequately explained the
technical reasons for not doing) and providing adequate documentation
and error handling
The man page for the version that I have does not mention '--' nor the fact
that the --execute
option is obsolete --- BUT! ... the '--' option *does* work and functions as
desired with
the command-line you gave... the '-h' is echoed properly.
Thank you for taking the time to look into this.
to look into this.
The man page probably needs to be updated as even the 'Zesty' version still
shows the
--command and --execute options (and no '--') with the same description as
16.04 LTS.
Thanks,
Gary

Title:

OK I thought I saw that it was 304.134-0ubuntu1 that fixed it in 16.04
Anyway 304.134-0ubuntu0.16.10.1 is causing the login loop on my system

Already did, but just tried again. Still get login loop
According to what I've seen it's
304.134-0ubuntu1.16.10.1 not 304.134-0ubuntu0.16.10.1 that fixed the
problem in 16.04
Note the 0ubuntu1 not 0ubuntu0
If i try to load 304.134-0ubuntu1.16.10.1 I get this mesage E: Version
yes the problem is in 16.10 Yakkety
