Title:
sane plustek backend not working on USB
I just upgraded SANE as the git version in ppa:rolfbensch/sane-git
(https://launchpad.net/~rolfbensch/+archive/ubuntu/sane-git), and so far
it seems to be working great.

Title:
evince crashes while reading pdf file
To manage
Public bug reported:
Evince freezes while loading the second page onwars of this document:
http://www.hotmobile.org/2012/papers/HotMobile12-final72.pdf
With an earlier version of evince, this document used to crash evince
and use a substantial amount of CPU and RAM
In Utopic, with evince 3.14.1, evince doesn't crash anymore. But
rendering of the second page onwards halts for a while.

Confirmed this issue with Ubuntu 14.10, trying to create a USB disk with
Clonezilla. Is there any known workaround for this issue, or
downgrade/upgrade that fixes it?

I suggest you guys download and install the .deb package for ubuntu 15.04
directly from here:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/r8168
I doubt anyone will update this package, since these are different
versions... and the one I'm suggesting should be compatible anyway (I installed
it, works
