nvidia related. It usually happens to me when trying to switch modes via

screen every time, whether I invoke from command line or from Unity GUI, or
call it through another program (emacs). The bug is also present if I run Natty

I tried to get a full backtrace with gdb, It doesn't look right. Perhaps
someone might be able to tell me what I've missed? I did follow the
instructions on debugging Xorg, apport didn't put anything in /var/crash
so that's why I used gdb from another machine instead.
I've not done a backtrace
Changing the runlevels in sysv does nothing.

bug, let me know. I don't know how to close this one and open a new
one with a better title to match my current problem.

I got further, but the upgrade did not complete. The kernel package
could not be installed. The upgrade aborted, and it appears as if my
system is in an unstable state. Apt sources are pointed at natty now.
I get the following output when I try to reinstall the kernel:
My /boot was full. It looks like the kernel packages fill boot, but
never delete old kernels. I'm not sure if there was a better way, but
I deleted some older images.

thanks. Had an nvidia driver issue, but everything else is working, and
I was able to reinstall the nvidia drivers.

System was a clean install of 10.10, and had all updates installed before
