We changed it yesterday to use an ID_CDROM_MEDIA key:

Thanks for the explanation. I submitted bug #286662 against kdeplasma-
addons. There are probably other packages missing from app-install-data,
but since developers and power-users tend not to use adept-installer
themselves, it may take a while to notice them.
I still think the search algorithm fo

Plasmoids have a user-visible GUI, so it ought to be possible to find
them using adept-installer. Plasmoid packages should have .desktop files
in /usr/share/applications so that they will be included in app-install-
data.

You're right, the kcm modules have gone missing! Clearly they have been
spirited away by code ninjas. Hopefully everything related to KDE system
settings will eventually end up in System Settings (perhaps in time for
Jaunty?), because it totally defeats the point of *having* a System

I'm testing Kubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) Beta, and my volume,
brightness, and thinklight keys work fine. My media keys also work,
except for the bug #285056. My Fn+F5 key for wireless/bluetooth control
also works, except for bug #212839. kmilo isn't even in the Intrepid
repositories, so I wouldn't

Good catch, Particlese! I've installed Japanese language input support
on my Kubuntu Intrepid Beta test rig, which gets me scim-bridge-client-

unable to elicit the bug in kate. I would take this finding with a grain

I booted in "Install" mode with debug-ubiquity as the last option using
today's daily-live. Today's daily is slightly different from the Beta
(even without the debug option) in that there's no ubiquity window --
just a blank, black screen with an X shaped mouse pointer.

Thanks for looking into this. I recently tested the "Install" boot
option on the Ubuntu 8.10 Beta CD, and it works fine. I retested with
the Kubuntu 8.10 Beta CD just to be sure, and it's definitely broken.
The background is all black and the Ubiquity window, while decorated, is
empty. Pressing Ctr
Thank you, Till. I tested the debdiff you posted in bug #286048, and it
fixes the issue with lpr getting the copy number wrong. Duplex and copy
number in KDE application (I retested with Okular) are still broken. I
still think this bug ought to be fixed before Kubuntu 8.10 is released.
