This issue affects Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver)
Reproduction:
1. Install netbeans
2. Try starting netbeans
It crashes during the loading screen. In
`~/.netbeans/8.1/var/logs/messages.log` I see the following:

This bug affects us too. We tried working around the issue by switching
to a locale which provides timestamps in a shorter format by default
(e.g. DD.MM.YY) so it would still fit into the greeter box, but
apparently simply overriding $LANG and $LC_TIME is not enough to affect
the PAM messages.

Still not fixed in 16.04. On a fresh boot I get an autoconfigured IPv6
address despite net.ipv6.conf.all.autoconf being set to 0 in
sysctl.conf.
(Only solution for me seems to be manually setting the interface to
static in /etc/network/interfaces - but I have to do this on every
single VM I create
This or an identical-looking bug affects all of our test machines
running Ubuntu 16.04. The machines are also fully patched.

The authorization seems to disappear after a restart. Once Authorized, Gnome
do does not crash.

Looks like I was mistaken, removing the "Remember the Milk" plugin does
stop Gnome-Do from crashing.

I have got the wireless working. It seems when the kernel was updated the
new broadcom modules were not built. I rebooted with an older kernel and the
wireless started working. I then updated the system again and the broadcom
modules were built, thus solving the problem.

My experience is similar to what Antoine Pairet reported. No gnumeric or
beagle or tracker running. Only GnomeDo running with file indexing
enabled.
