Seems to affect virtualbox windows most, a virtual box vm window always have
this behavior, other application windows has this behavior sometimes.
Occures on Unity and icewm.

I have found a workaround to let it work on a docking station.
- Place the laptop in the docking station
- startup. External screen will show the startup screens until X (kdm) starts.
Then it goes black.
- Open the laptop and change screen (Function-F8)
- On the laptop now a jumbled screen is
When doing the upgrade, when updating the k3d package (3D designer, NOT the DVD
burner application k3b) there was a Python error and the upgrade stopped.
Leaving an unusable system.
Now an issue with the update of k3d is already reported. But the fact that the
upgrade died on this is the bug.
An extra thing noticed :
When the sound is stuttering, the system clock is lagging behind.
The sound hangs every second for about half a second.
I noticed that the system clock is exactly that hanging time slowed. It does
this also when there is no sound playing.
With the noapic flag is set ,
Public bug reported:
On a Dell XPS 5 with an audigy (revision 4) sound card, the sound skips every
second. It is silent for half a second then resumes.
This is for OSS and ALSA. The issue started after upgrading from Herd-5 to
Beta-1
No error messages are written to /var/log/messages
The problem is gone when booting with the noapic flag set in the grub
menu.lst entry.

These are the results of the sound system :
I have not added the tests to see if the card is found, because the system
finds the cards and plays sound by it.
If the noapic flag is added on boot, everything is working fine though... These
are the results not having that flag set.
