Public bug reported:
An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.
This can be caused by:
* Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu
* Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu
* Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu
ProblemType: Bug
Tim Edwards, there's another way to work-around this that might be
easier. I should've added a comment on it.
For the command-line client ONLY: http://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/unison
For both graphical and command-line client:

Would someone with the appropriate permissions mark this as affecting
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, too? The original bug report remarked on trying to
use newer Unison clients with older Ubuntu servers, and in my case, I
have the reverse issue - old clients, new server.
For ease of transition as users
Problem still occurs, possibly. I got the same message this evening
during an 'apt dist-upgrade' run:
Setting up linux-signed-image-4.4.0-8-generic (4.4.0-8.23) ...
warning: file-aligned section .text extends beyond end of file
warning: checksum areas are greater than image size. Invalid section
Merging/backporting Unison 2.48 to Ubuntu 16.04/14.04 might be required
to avoid the issue where newer builds of Unison 2.40 segfault due to a
change in the OCaml library (version 4.01.0 -> 4.02.3).
See Ubuntu bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unison/+bug/1543374
And Debian bug:
In the meantime, I managed to work around the issue with multiple trials
of apt-get that resulted in something like the following:
sudo apt-get remove -f python-pip-whl python3-pip python-chardet-whl
python-html5lib-whl python-virtualenv python3-virtualenv virtualenv
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo
For systems already in a broken state, will any workaround be needed
once a fixed package is uploaded, or will it be sufficient to 'apt-get
update && apt-get install -f'?

This will cause issues for upgraded Ubuntu installs on Radeon hardware
with the upcoming release of 14.04.4 LTS. The version string now
includes LLVM, just like in 15.10. On my system, "Gallium 0.4 on AMD
BONAIRE" became "Gallium 0.4 on AMD BONAIRE (DRM 2.43.0, LLVM 3.6.0)".

There's a bug report for getting Unison 2.48.3-1 into Ubuntu 16.04 and
backporting it to Ubuntu 14.04:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unison/+bug/1421184
According to the bug report linked by linuxien_ref above, Debian seems
to be taking this approach and hopefully Ubuntu can as well,
Public bug reported:
After installing the latest round of updates to Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial,
Unison segfaults when synchronizing some files across SSH.
Steps
1. Install unison on a local machine running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and a remote
device running Ubuntu 16.04 and unison_2.40.102-2ubuntu2.
2.
@Steve Brorens: It's actually the little "Tags" section under the bug
description and right before the comments that needs edited. Remove
'verification-needed' and add 'verification-done', and that should be
it!
If you can, you may want to change "Confirmed" back to "Fix Committed" -

I often have a calculator or a simple note-pad window always on top for
quick reference while I'm typing into a document below it. Switching
workspaces means I have to give focus back to the document every time.
I agree with ~amirmasoud that this is a bug, not a feature.
If there's any way I may
