I just installed 10.10 on my netbook and then skype, the issue is the same
after i set the volume
on one of the stereo mic channels and start skype pulseaudio drops the mic
level to an un-acceptable

the volume in alsamixer with E and Z keys so one channel is at max the other

I did a update with the update manager however this crash might of occurred

Using ssh to get into this sick box i was able to issue X -config and
suddently the screen on the sick machine gave me a terminal log in screen, I

Well i just ran a quick and dirty test on my kanotix install, ive been
using it for over 1.5 yrss
never had a freeze and never installed compiz (i dont like wiggley
windows) but as a test I
installed it and when i tried to run it was given the same error
message that compiz detected
my intel card

My issue was fixed in jaunty 9.04 bug 276822, they added two files,
lupin-casper and ubiquity-casper

Amazingly i have now been able to run repro.sh without any noticable
problems, I decided to start compiz
from a terminal was was told that my graphics id 00:02.0 VGA
compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated
Graphics Controller (rev 0c) was blacklisted and I thought
attachments from the recent keyboard freeze. I am not sure this is the same
freeze i had days ago. but sypmtoms
were similar enough

I downloaded the daily-build on Apri 20th 2009 it came with new files
associated with casper
lupin-casper ubiquity-casper and of course casper.
The stick created worked, I dont know if there are other files needed
but you might try sudo apt-get lupin-casper ubiquity-casper casper
and see if it
