thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Did you execute »sudo
dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg« in order to choose the right resolution
for your desktop? I suspect this not to be a bug but a configuration
problem. Maybe you can attach /etc/X11/xorg.conf and

after taking a look on your xorg.conf, I am closing here. This is
clearly a configuration issue. Please execute the command mentioned
previously. If you still experience problems then, please open a case in
our support tracker ( https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/ ).
