@dmytriy--I suspect your suspend/resume problems are unrelated simply because there are hundreds of different problems in that area. I suggest searching Ask Ubuntu or Linux & Unix sites. For example, my Alienware AW17R3 with i-7 6700HQ (Skylake) wouldn't suspend/resume because of NVMe M.2 Gen 3.0

I had reported this bug error. However, i don't have this error anymore on a same system using Ubuntu16.04.2 with kernel 4.4.0-6x and kernel 4.8.0-xx. I suspect it is related to changes in UEFI/BIOS and using the more updated UEFI/BIOS driver versions. Below are my UEFI settings and hope it help
