I don't think that's the reason: at least, it doesn't seem to be for me.
My joystick is /dev/input/js0, I want to use that, not some event* name
like evtest forces.
jstest works fine, with the exception that it segfaults when it tries to
print out the names of the buttons.

%PRIuMAX and replace it by something like %llu. So w_bytes goes for the
%llu and human_readable() is for %s in the string. The segfault comes

To fix it I had to reregister the gconf schemas

The biggest problem of all is that it is very hard to pinpoint the
problem, as it seems that the xserver itself does not produce any error
at all when dropping the connection. Such an error could help identify
the circumstances when such a connection drop occcurs, but yet again
there is no error

I also had this problem. The solution was to comment out all lines in
/etc/network/interfaces except the loopback interface. n-m cannot
control already configured interfaces. If that does not cure the problem
then you should take a look at #40125 and probably mark this bug a
duplicate.

Logging in through gdm fails if group execute permission is not set for
the user's home directory. I don't think it should be necessary for a
user to allow group execute permission on their home directory in order
to have a usable desktop account
Gaim is single threaded, a segfault in plugin code is entirely able to
take gaim down. There is no way to avoid that.

Could you post the contents of /etc/network/interfaces. Just out of
curiosity, why would you use n-m on a desktop in preference to the
deafult networking configuration?

In nautilus, the 2G volume appears in the left column (in 'Places') but
clicking (or double-clicking) on it does not produce result.
I also posted a bug about the disks manager (#50538) which may be
related to this issue.

Disk mount applet can not mount a luks encrypted partition
Two things i forgot:
The T2xs i have had available for testing were T20s, T21s and T23s. All
with at least 256 MB RAM, varying HDs but all with DVD-drive in the
Laptops Ultrabay. I also had two Type 2631 docking stations available.
All showed the same behaviour when running a 2.6.15 kernel. Stock
