I had a similar problem this afternoon. tracker was using up between 40-48% of
the cpu power, and was slowly the system down very visibly. After adjusting
tracker-settings for lower cpu usage, the problem seemed to be alleviated. A

Okay, someone's removed the dep between Rosegarden and Lilypond, which
at least lets Rosegarden install (a good thing). I don't personally

A different meaning of "install" :-)... It is a library inside of the
openoffice.org-base package, I just noted that it not being installed
was the root cause of the crash. It will be moved to openoffice.org-core
in the near future.

Yes, I can confirm this bug happens to my wife and I also. Using 2
different computers running Gutsy and only sharing a router for internet

OK - and mystery probably solved - looks like I picked up a copy of the
contents of directory ~/.gconf/desktop/gnome/remote_access from rsyncing
my home directory with another machine where I _had_ used vnc once
before.

Hi Alexander,
There is no crash file created in /var/crash. The exact symptom is that the
application vanishes.
Interestingly I cannot even reply in gmail as I get the same result. In
short 2.0.0.8 is unusable for entering text in text boxes for me.
Does the kernel version matter? I am using the

When I looked at /etc/mysql/debian.cnf, my debian-sys-maint password was
C1lO0oEdaJJZrCfZ.
So... I logged into MySQL as the super-user (root in my case) and set the
password for debian-sys-maint.
