I am experiencing the same problem however the default keyring that is
loaded upon login on 8.04 (Hardy) is login.keyring (not default as the
original report states). My install is an upgrade from Feisty so that
may be the cause.

Failed to intialize HAL error message after gdm login. possibly because of
This morning I reinstalled Kubuntu 8.04 to test restarting X against the
loss of sound. After the first post-installation boot, sound was, as
expected, normal. Ctrl-Alt-Bksp and logging back in, sound was retained.
I then proceeded to install the available updates and to manually

It is a painful task to burn DVDs on Hardy. I first burnt a DVD at
maximum speed in Brasero. The content size was around 4.1GiB. It took
nearly 75 minutes to burn the DVD, but it was successful. Then I thought

Hi, I'm having this problem since I updated from Gutsy to Hardy 32bit.
Hardy messes up the FAT32 partition on my mp3 player. I copy/delete
files on it, unmount it, turn on my mp3 and find many files messed
up/unreadable. Mount it again and find it to be a readonly filesystem.

I've tried to connect to another AP and it works. I have a Linksys
WRT54G v3.1 with firmware DD-WRT v23 SP2 (09/15/06) vpn.
Now, I'm going to change the AP's firmware and see what happends :s
