The tablet is working fine for me now - really it only stopped working
for a while. My 'solution' was to reinstall (Gutsy at the time). Now I'm
on Hardy and it still works fine.
I was never able to discover what stopped it from working, but its all
fine now.

after running software sources from the system pulldown in Gnome, I was
able to decern I had a bad repository. Unchecking the third party
source as a repository corrected the issued. I would think a bad
repository would be handled and skipped. But I guess in the case of

Konqueror, while being the greatly-integrated browser for KDE that it is,

In spanish version you have only to change:
MASK=`LANG=C /sbin/ifconfig $IF | grep Mas | cut -d : -f 4`
for:
MASK=`LANG=C /sbin/ifconfig $IF | grep Más | cut -d : -f 4`
With tilde in Más. It worked for me.

Firestarter fails to run on locales other than English
Just in case anyone ever comes around to be looking for a solution to
display Japanese and German properly while retaining Chinese fonts on
their system, here is what I did. So far, it works quite nicely for me.
