For what it's worth my Logitech Quickcam Web doesn't work either. Worked
fine in Hardy (as well as all previous versions from Edgy, Feisty to

I am having the same problem, after installing Cairo-Dock having
problems printing from FF3 in HH. Could one of you guys post (or link
to) a fix that worked for you? I am not sure about which cairo
libraries are safe to remove using synaptic.

I suppose I should explain why I did that. I looked at the radeonhd
source, and it doesn't seem to treat HDMI and DVI differently when
setting encoder mode. I guess if we want to support HDCP, we will need
to use ATOM_ENCODER_MODE_HDMI, but for now we can probably use
ATOM_ENCODER_MODE_DVI. As

I do have the same issue with hardy and ibex beta. After a few hours of
use, the pulseaudio server don't seem able to anwser to request (mplayer
hangs on request to open ao_pulse for instance).
A simple 'killall -9 pulseaudio pulseaudio' works, but this is

This was actually caused by filesystem corruption that removed important
files in /etc/ such as /etc/rcS.d, and turned /etc/events.d into a file,
instead of a directory. Fixed by (i) booting with init=/bin/bash (ii)
doing an fsck -y (iii) reinstalling the relevant packages with --force-
confmiss.
I think nvidia-xconfig is depreciated with the latest nvidia drivers
and should not be used.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear. A similar procedure is able to make the icon
change as well. The problem is clearly that the icons are sharing the same
data. They are identical after a reboot, and are both the same as the last
change
that was made to either one. I've personally done it with the
I've managed to reproduce this on my machine. A full reboot isn't
required. Log out and log back in is sufficient to induce the crash.

mail?
If so could you please install the package kdepim-dbg and induce the
crash. This contains the debugging symbols for kontact. Hopefully it
will give us a more detailed backtrace so we can find the cause of the
problem

And sorry... now it's working out of the box, from my virtualised Ubuntu to my
laptop Ubuntu using Cups and a GTK app like Gedit (or tell me Gedit is not
GTK2?)
