Different user, same story.
Specs:
Ubuntu 8.10 with the 2.6.27-8-generic on a Lenovo IdeaPad Y510. This is
an absolute show-stopper for me; I've had it freeze up on me numerous
times while writing documents. Today it happened twice, and I lost my
work -- yes, I autosaved, but OO.org 3.0's autos
...and the second shows the result of the resize, where the not-so-
usefull top area have been stretched.
Please note I don't intend to upgrade soon, so I may test the fix if you
plan to incorporate it into Hardy.

I upgraded from Ubuntu Hardy (32-bit) to Ubuntu Intrepid (32-bit) and I
lost functionality also on my laptop with all bluetooth devices.
Bluetooth for me also worked fine in Ubuntu Hardy. I thought I was
upgrading to a stable version of Ubuntu? Please look into fixing the
bluez package.

To reproduce:
I'm using compiz and firefox. If firefox is in fullscreen mode and I move the
mouse over a {link|image with alt text}, the little hint window popup causes
the screen to flash: the desktop backgr
Indeed, the bug is still present in Intrepid. And because Abiword 2.6 is
now official in Intrepid, it's quite annoying. For some users, abiword
is nearly unusable. For others, it's just annoying to very annoying.
If there's a fix, I really think it should hit intrepid-update (or at

I have tried both methods:
- The one with Ctrl+Alt+F2 leads to nothing. The screen keeps being black.

Try with an empty profile, as themes, extensions and some preferences
could cause trouble after upgrading to a new version of firefox.
Rename your ~/.mozilla folder to ~/.mozilla.bak and start firefox. It
should create a freh profile directory, if a corrupt profile was tha
