I tried strace -s1024 but it seems it still doesn't expand the arguments
to writev(). I'm not sure how to get more detail from this but I can
reproduce it fairly easily. Even without suspending and resuming, it

Hello,
I do think the bluez assistant try to pair with the wiimote, and it
can't, because the device don't provide interface to enter PIN code, and
so pair fails immediatly.
perhaps you should try to connect to it in terminal.

This patch is a fix of this bug for the current stable release 8.10
(intrepid), it could be uploaded to intrepid-updates.
You can sync both new intrepid and jaunty package releases with these patches
applied from my ppa:

I don't see the problem: Both users would be using UNR, and therefore
there would be two launchers running. When you log out from one of the
users, there will be only one launcher. Or are you experiencing the
issue at #241887?

Added extra autostart flags to both launcher and maximus. Not making
them a part of the gconf session (using autostart files instead) because
they remain optional and desktop-switcher expects the autostart files to
be in place to do it's job. Maybe switch over to full gconf for
Jaunty+1.

Sorry all, this hasn't been high on my list.
Originally I ended up editing the xorg.conf to force the resolution to 1280
x 800, and it was ok.
Had no troubles with upgrading to newer releases till 8.10. Now the video
defaults to a very 'speckly' look. Adding sisfb to /etc/modules has
resolved
