Since upgrading to Jaunty my printer has stopped working with Printer
may not be connected displayed at the bottom of the page. I'm running
the latest hal and cups packages.
lpstat -v returns:
device for HL-5140-series:
usb://Brother/HL-5140%20series?serial=M3J165000
Plus ... every software freezes. fore example openoffice, when trying to
import picture or anything. seems there is a system-wide problem. I
reinstalled ubuntu, but did not expect this...

When my laptop starts gdm is loaded before alsa and pulseaudio (which is
working in the system-wide mode as I'm the only user of the laptop).
The problem is that there is no sound when GDM starts. And sometimes, it is
restarted when booting (I don't know why).

I am running Jaunty Jackalope beta, and updated this morning, which
apparently included an update to the 2.6.28-11 kernel. When I restarted,
the boot failed, with the message
ALERT! /dev/disk/by-uuid/cf103646-c12b-4573-89ed-cf0387df4cd8 does not exist.
Dropping to a shell!

Thanks for reporting this bug. Can you look at bug 332332 and try the
suggestion there to edit /etc/mpd.conf and change the bind_to_address
from localhost to 127.0.0.1, please. If that works, is this a
duplicate of that bug?
