When I had this problem using 'legacy grub' because I didn't accept
'install maintainer's version' I simply removed grub/menu.lst. When I
rebooted it created a new menu.lst with the updated kernels.
Now I'm using grub2 which presents a whole new set of problems.

Even though Denmark was selected in gnome-keyboard-properties, entering
text in the text field revealed that the layout was indeed American. To

I confirm the same effect as Rudolf described (2009-09-11). I had tried
several times to add the pilot applet before giving up and searching for
help. I found this thread and installed Alexander's packages
(2009-05-18). I now have eleven (11) applets on my task bar!! And
synchronising works -

In Karmic nautilus no longer generates thumbnails for images. I'm not
sure since when, but at least a couple of weeks.
Currently when I add a new image - for example by taking a screenshot
and saving it to my desktop - no thumbnail is generated

resume from suspend, which has worked very well for days. Just black
screen. When I rebooted, I would still come back to the black screen as

Definitely occurs regularly for me, maybe when the doc is saved as .doc or has
previously been edited in Word (footnote inserted in Word rather than OOo)?? I
do quite a lot of editing in both.
