Have this issue too, upgrading pulseaudio to
0.9.21-0ubuntu2~~karmic~ubuntuaudiodev1 didn't solve the problem.
I have attached the syslog with messages from pulseadio alsa.
After crash I see only 'clicks' instead of sound in speakers.
If I stop the music, run pulseaudio -k and press play, the
Ulrich Hobelmann, I have no glitch-free words in default.pa and other
pulseaudio config files. Where can I find and disable it?

Instead of building a list of pre-defined timezones and then sifting
through to discard any that are not on disk (i.e. doing 500+ opens,
that's what's in the trunk), I build the list by traversing system
hierarchy (i.e. doing a couple opens that don't end up in exceptions).

This is really probably because of Qt 4.6. KDE 4.3.x was never tested
with Qt 4.6 as it was intended to be used with Qt 4.5 since 4.6 was in
beta at the time. Things should resolve themselves once the KDE 4.4

Not only can I confirm that this device doesn't work in Linux; it
doesn't work in 64-bit Windows 7 either!
If this device ever starts being useful for anything, it'll be when they
release new drivers for it.

I've just signed to launchpad - the bug is not closed and still active
in Ubuntu 9.10 (Clean installation - no special ppa's active). Font:
Calibri (standard font of all new windows systems). All german Umlauts
are printed but not the ö.

I forgot to mention: all chars are displayed on the screen and PDF
export is fine. Its possible to make a functioning PDF using the
internal PDF function. Its also possible to use the CUPS PDF printer
(the ubuntu standard PDF printer).
