I am using Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid), and I downloaded chocolate-doom for
the Synaptic Package Manager, letting it include its dependencies of
course. I received the error above, and the solution I found was:

it seems unity does not work in virtualbox as someone at IRC yesterday
had the exact problem. I have not tried virtualbox but is it capable
enough to run a 3d environment?

Hi, Fabio!
I can say that next Ubuntu (9.10) worked better, there was not enormose
packet loss (70/30 as written before). But several times a day it lost the
network and only reboot could help.
Unfortunately now I cannot check because I'm using another laptop.

and red channels are swapped. Have a look at
