Wow, I reported this 14 months ago and had forgotten about it.
In short this bug has no meaning to me anymore. After experiencing some
other issues in (IIRC) Q3 2009 I abandoned Ubuntu and switched to Debian
testing. I find that much more reliable than Ubuntu stable.

Got the same problem in debian testing (squeeze) for a while. I tried
removing the wacom and synaptics input drivers and hope this will be

I'm yet to test Intel without tp-smapi in kernel 2.6.32-24.
Nevertheless, the freeze after the second resume exists in my laptop
with 2.6.32-24, ATi w/ tp-smapi, ATi without tp-smapi, and intel w/tp-
smapi.
One thing I've noticed, however, is that on the first suspend-resume
cycle,

I have found that my work-laptop containing an intel chip also has

If I rememebr the upgrade issues started about 7.04 up to 7.10 then I have
never been able to use the new OS Upgrade unless I download it and start fresh
losing my apps. Now I save it to a second hard drive so not to lose them.
