I can confirm that it's probably just the MIB information files that are
missing. I copied the folder /usr/share/snmp/mibs from a Lucid based

For me it is not a UUID issue. I checked /dev/disk/by-uuid and cross
checked that with /etc/crypttab and also unpacked the initrd and checked
conf/conf.d/cryptroot
It was the same UUID in all cases. I don't have linux-virtual installed
like toobuntu does. My case is a system that has whole disk
same thing on an asus eee 901, fresh maverick unr install on a 4gb ssd
(/ is ext4 /boot is ext3). i think it happened after messing a bit with
nm-applet and indicator-* packages... till now only an aesthetics
problem.

Acabo de solucionar el problema simplemente aumentando el límite de la
cache:
sudo nano /etc/apt/apt.conf
y añadimos un valor suficientemente elevado, en mi caso 150Mb
APT::15000;
De esta manera yo he conseguido que vuelva a actualizar correctamente.

It seems that the VGA connections does not work properly either. Maybe
this is a separate problem, maybe not? When trying to attach a 1600x1200
Samsung SyncMaster 204Ts i get:

After upgrading to ubuntu10.10,I can not install packages in the
terminal using the command apt -get install packagenames with the
environment variable http_proxy set properly in the terminal.I have to
set the proxy in the apt.conf file in the /etc/apt directory or use the
-o Acquire::http::Proxy
yes, as I've written I can reboot from the terminal, but the workaround is
not satisfactory, since in this way I loose the current session (which I
can't save even using dbus).

Hi,
10.04 did not install at all on the computer, the installation hung, but
it might be that there were some error in the display adapter, can't say.
I have bought a newer model now. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Is this problem present with the latest updated Lucid's or Maverick's

1. Open and nautilus window on some samba share
2. drag an file/folder to this window ( from other window or desktop)
3. this error occures
When i try to copy a file to this share through terminal, it works , for
