Today I started an update of many packages and muon hung on 71%. This is
not related to etckeeper, but looks related to the pseudoterminal

I'm also affected by this bug. I have to manually unplug and re-plug my
TP-Link TL-WN321G with Ralink chip which sometimes also affects ACPI to
the point where I have to restart the system.

My problem might be related: it seems like for whatever reason pam_cap.so is
ignored, or the capabilities dropped at some point.
Even if I use required in the pam_cap.so line in common-auth, `getpcaps $$`
shows an empty inheritable set, whereas when I login via ssh or the console, I
get
